The front of the house is paved providing parking for two cars, leading to a pretty cottage garden with roses around the front door.
Golyn cottage has been totally renovated to a high standard and has warmth and character, offering luxurious accommodation for up to 6 guests with three double bedrooms-two en-suite.
Entering in to the hallway to the left there is a double en-suite bedroom with views to the front across the pretty garden and over Goose Green. The en-suite bathroom is fully tiled with high quality shower, toilet and hand basin.
Goose Green
To the right is a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove, TV, Video, Board Games, Books and Jigsaw. This room has a quality sofa bed for the occasional extra guests. The original windows overlook the front garden and Goose Green.
The family bathroom has an impressive role top bath with a shower attachment, hand basin, toilet and a sunpipe which gives natural light into the room.
The Open Plan sitting room is oak floored with a corner sofa, TV, DVD, and CD Player. It is a very bright and airy room with a partial glass ceiling and feature window.
It looks out to the back garden which is accessed via French patio doors leading to a wooden sunken patio area for outdoor entertaining. The garden is fully landscaped with a further terrace/seating area at the top of the garden, set among traditional flower beds and vegetable patch. All along the west facing wall there are numerous fruit trees, which are beautiful when in bloom and bountiful when in fruit. The garden outhouse, has a BBQ for guests use, further seating if required and outdoor games for example Boules and Badminton. A perfect spot for relaxing and entertaining.
Adjoined to the sitting room is the spacious kitchen/dining area which features 18th century beams, wonderful Gas Rayburn stove which also supplies the hot water and central heating, fabulous large AGA fridge and traditional Belfast sink. In addition, there is a dishwasher, washing machine, combination oven/microwave and freezer. The kitchen is fully equipped. Store staples are left for guests use and they are welcome to use any fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. A tumble dryer is available in the outhouse.
The bespoke staircase is formed within the building, a roof light floods the stair with natural light.
The oak and chrome balustrade creates a striking combination, featuring part of the original stone gable which is finished with solid oak finishings.
Upstairs there are two further bedrooms; the master bedroom has a large en-suite with a large walk in shower, sink and toilet with glass block feature, which allows natural light into the en-suite. Two large Velux windows overlook the well established back garden creating a tranquil atmosphere. Luxurious bedlinen and toppers are supplied.
There is a further double bedroom, also looking over the landscaped rear gardens with it's original windows, shaped ceiling giving a very quaint Victorian feel to this delightful room.
The walls are adorned with many original artworks from various parts of Scotland combined with limited edition horse racing prints which all adds to the comfortable ambiance of this unique cottage.
There is private parking for two cars in the front driveway and parking is allowed on Goose Green.
